Jazz, Pop and R&B Artist and Instructor
Teresa Marie is a Vancouver-based Jazz and R&B vocalist. She is an experienced performer, and has played in several venues around the city such as Water St Cafe, Frankie’s Jazz Club, and the Shadbolt Centre of the Arts.
Teresa takes inspiration from a variety of iconic musicians like Ella Fitzgerald, Aretha Franklin, and Etta James, and is passionate about learning from and listening to a wide range of genres.
You can typically find her singing her favorite Jazz standards, Pop covers, and occasionally, her own compositions.
Blue Train consists of Francis Bucher piano and vocals, Vincent Chen trumpet, and Dave Marfleet upright bass. The group plays a variety of jazz standards in the latin and swing vein.
Their sound is very approachable and some of the numbers are even quite danceable if anyone feels the desire to ‘cut a rug’.
